phone number. Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line
may receive telephone contact from us with information requested, sales
follow ups, or to verify purchases and requests for products and
literature they have placed on-line.
DocuXplorer sends e-mail to clients with install download links when
they purchase Docuxplorer software. Unfortunately, malicious individuals
have been known to spoof e-mail addresses making them appear to be
coming from an e-mail address other than the sender. These e-mails are
either spam or attempt to lure recipients to open a file with a virus or
visit a website to download malicious code. While we have no reports of
this happening with Docuxplorer e-mails we want to apprise you of the
possibility and provide information on how to avoid being becoming the victim of these malicious
e-mails.
What To Look For
There are ways to spot spoofed e-mails.
Here are some ways for you to determine that the e-mails
you receive are legitimate.
The message contains attachments
Never open an e-mail attachment from DocuXplorer unless you
are expecting to receive one after talking with a Docuxplorer
representative.
The URL is a valid DocuXplorer web address
If you suspect that an e-mail is not legitimate do not click
on download links. If you have any question as to the
legitimacy of an e-mail please contact a DocuXplorer
representative to assure that the email you received is
legitimate.
